5 Decades of Natural Disasters in Europe - Newspaper


Over the past 50 years, the number of natural disasters in Europe has steadily increased. However, it feels as though we are paying less and less attention to what is happening around us.

This is a visual representation of the dataset documenting all natural disasters in Europe from 1972 to 2022. Over time, you can observe how the map gradually becomes fuller with each passing decade, eventually becoming illegible.
